Best direct mail platforms for UK Shopify brands

Ranked for one buyer: a UK ecommerce brand posting automated retention mail to its own UK customers. A different buyer would order this list another way, and each entry says who that buyer is. TouchDrop publishes this page and sells one of the products on it. Competitor facts come from each vendor's own website, checked on 13 October 2026.

How the six compare at a glance

Three questions settle most of this list for a UK brand: where the mail is printed and posted, how the bill is built, and whether the product runs campaigns for you or hands you an API. The table summarises each entry; the entries below carry the detail.

How the ranking works. First place goes to the platform that prints in the UK, bills in pounds and automates the retention campaigns an ecommerce brand runs from Shopify and Klaviyo. The rest are ranked by how much of that a UK Shopify brand gets without building its own pipeline. TouchDrop publishes this page, so read first place as a claim you can check against the entries.

1. TouchDrop

Best for: UK Shopify brands that want retention postcards triggered from Shopify and Klaviyo, priced per card.

TouchDrop prints in the UK and posts with Royal Mail second class; cards typically arrive 3 to 4 working days after dispatch. It connects to your Shopify store, to Klaviyo segments and flow webhooks, and to Omnisend segments. Every card carries its own discount code and QR code, and TouchDrop matches orders back to each campaign inside its attribution window, 60 days by default. Cards cost £1.80 each for 1 to 499, £0.66 for 500 to 4,999, £0.57 for 5,000 to 14,999 and £0.53 for 15,000 or more, print and postage included, and plans start at £39 a month. TouchDrop is an official Klaviyo Technology Partner, listed in the Klaviyo App Marketplace. Current rates are on the UK pricing guide.

The honest limitation: Postcards only, in one size (210 x 99 mm). No letters or catalogues, TouchDrop does not offer handwriting, and it mails your existing customers rather than finding new ones.

2. ZAP~POST

Best for: UK Shopify brands that build their automations in Shopify Flow.

A Shopify App Store app that sends personalised postcards and letters from Shopify Flow, with Klaviyo, HubSpot and Braze listed among its integrations. The UK is its main mailing location, with in-country partners for the US, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Italy, and it chooses the carrier for each send. Pay as you go starts at 69p per send with a 500-send minimum; a monthly membership starts at £60 plus from 61p per send, with lower rates on an annual plan.

The honest limitation: Its FAQ says measuring campaign results is down to you. It generates a trackable QR code per recipient, and you set up the attribution in your own analytics.

3. Paperplanes

Best for: Brands that want mail triggered by what customers browse.

Paperplanes sends personalised mail based on browsing behaviour, posted via Royal Mail, with native Shopify and Klaviyo integration from its entry tier. Economy starts at £99 a month with up to 100 sends; Scale starts at £399 a month and from 50p per send, up to 10,000 sends a month, and adds A/B testing; Enterprise is priced on volume and adds international delivery.

The honest limitation: The entry tier stops at 100 sends a month, so an automated flow that grows past that moves you to the £399 Scale tier.

4. PostPilot

Best for: Brands that want a managed, full-funnel programme, prospecting included.

A US platform with a UK page and its own print sites in London, South Carolina and Arizona. It integrates with Shopify, Klaviyo and Recharge, calls itself a Klaviyo Premier Tech Partner, and sells managed services and lookalike audiences. The free plan charges for postcards and postage only; Pro starts at $419 a month.

The honest limitation: The pricing page quotes US dollars, and some features, such as MailMatch, are listed for US customers only.

5. Stannp

Best for: Teams posting postcards, letters and greeting cards across several use cases.

A self-serve print and mail platform with a free plan for one-off campaigns and paid plans from £12 a month. Its calculator prices an A6 postcard at about £0.96 each for 2,500 cards on the Starter plan, print and postage included, and quotes Royal Mail delivery as usually 3 to 5 business days. It connects to Klaviyo flows through Klaviyo's webhook step, and to Zapier, Make, HubSpot and its own API.

The honest limitation: Shopify and Klaviyo run through connectors and webhooks you set up in each flow, so the campaign logic sits with your team.

6. Intelliprint

Best for: Developers and operations teams that post letters and postcards by API.

Intelliprint prints and posts from its own UK facility and charges per item, with no subscription and no minimum order. Its price list shows an A5 postcard sent second class at £0.91. You send work by PDF upload, API, Zapier or n8n.

The honest limitation: No Shopify or Klaviyo integration is listed, so triggers, audiences and attribution are yours to build.

Looking for handwritten cards?
